A Superbly Carved Golden Oak Monks Bench/Hall Seat

This monks bench is in excellent condition as it is a new reproduction that has never been used. It is made from a lovely golden oak and has an antique style patina.

The monks bench stands on a georgian style scrolled plinth supporting the main section. This main section has two superbly carved front panels with a scrolled beading around the edge. There are some beautifully turned front and back arm supports and beautifully shaped arm rests. The backrest is again superbly carved around the edge, having circles and a similar carved panel. The backrest obviously rotates on to the arms when not in use as a seat. The lid opens up to plenty of storage space.
This would look well in both an old or modern property almost in any room amongst similar oak furniture.

The height is 79cm, the width is 80cm and the depth is 55cm. The height when it is in use as a seat is 100cm.
